from the kitchen garden magazine. It’s to stop cutting of the electric cables when mowing the lawn. unfortunately our mower is out of action at the moment. DH unfortunately cut the cable last time…

But joking aside - we shouldn’t forget that cutting electrical cables whilst mowing the lawn can be very dangerous! these ‘grass snake’ devices are great… I’d also recommend using an RCD device, which will cut the power supply if any cables become damaged whilst mowing.
